my antenna mast broke, i searched - got a few sites, but they werent really cheap, called up courtessy parts, quoted me 34 shipped after the maxima.org discount........anyone know a place where i can get an OEM one for about 25 shipped or less, besides ebay???

 

I paid $25.56 from Automax Nissan. Got a new mast and installed it myself. I had a hard time taking it out but I finally did. I also got syntetic mobile 1 grease @ AutoZone for about $5.00 and regreased the gears. The antenna is now quiet when it goes up and down.

this is only the mast for $25.00

 

When I turn my radio on or off I hear the motor trying to raise and lower the antenna but nothing happens. Do you think that replacing the mast will solve the problem?

 

The Mast has a geared coil in it. The teeth may be worn out. If that’s the case ordering, a new mast will work. If it’s the gears in the box then I think you will need a new complete unit unless you can find new gears for it.
