LED's in Climate Control
does anyone know what type of bulbs i need for my 96 non auto climate control? my little men with the arrows seem to have gone out, but everything else works. ive searched through the topics but most are for auto climate control bulb replacements. are they the same?

Just a warning.. it's not easy to replace these bulbs! Be very careful when opening up the back of your climate control panel so as not to break any retaining clips or damage any electrical boards.
I have had Radio Shack bulbs in mine for almost a year- "#7219 Micro Lamps" (12V, 60mA, wire-terminal base). Radio Shack part # 272-1092C. They come in packages of 2 and you can get them at most radio shack stores (as opposed to online). They can be used to replace the white bulbs in your Cruise Control button (I did this), dimmer switch, and the ones that illuminate the climate control buttons (and temp. slider)
P.S. there is no soldering involved.

if you can get to the bulbs, they are basically plug and play. If I remember correctly you have to wrap the wire leads around a little plastic/rubber bulb holder, but that's not such a big deal (only if you buy from Radio Shack- I think if you buy from Nissan they come in the holder). Just don't forget to take the little rubber condom off of the old bulb dnad put it on the new one so that the buttons end up white instead of yellow-ish. I don't think they come in any colors but you can paint the bulbs if you want..
