getting hissing sound from intake - whats going on??

ok whats going on??

changed the fuel filter yesterday, get a hissing sound from intake, can live with that.....then the car dies once yesterday....not good, but doesnt happen again...im driving around today, and it happens again....im going to check for leaks on the fuel filter....what else could it be? i used a 300zx fuel filter if it makes any differnce

Double check the flow arrow on the new filter. If it still acts up, try putting the old one back in. It may be possible that your new one is clogged.

That's interesting...I have similar problems -- car dying repeatedly...

I'm gonna check my fuel filter...I installed it only a few weeks ago.

Did you also use a 300zx filter? I was thinking of changing mine out myself since I'm due.

i used a ZX filter no probs for 3 months, just that filter is bigger and doesnt fit into the bracket very well

filter fit fine (300zx filter)...no trouble at all....ive hit 110 in the car....and it was fine...just those 2 times that it died on me....WTF

I'm on my 2nd 300ZX filter. No problem. Make sure it is installed like this: U

The flat part is facing the top.
