what if i took the little blinker that is on all the german cars from the side fender for turning and put it on the side view mirrors and wire it to there. try to place it on the other side of the glass near the top where it is smooth.

 

 

i think that would grow annoying at night, with the white or orange all in you face especially when your tired. I dunno, maybe im not picturing it right form you descrip, but i if i could see it blink i would find it annoying.

There are aftermarket turn signal side mirrors already.

You have to put it so you don't see it, but everyone else does. If you see it, it will blind you at night and you won't be able to use your mirrors at all.
