KYB-AGX Shocks

I heard that the KYB-AGX Shocks are very still and it's better to go with Tokico, They said that even on the 1 setting, It's still very stiff and when i hit a pot hole it will compress all the way and i will hear a big thud. Is this true and if so would Tokico be a good choice?

Re: KYB-AGX Shocks

the KYB's are pretty stiff, which I personally like because there is less body rolling. If you're lowering your car, the KYB's or even Koni's are still your best bet. But if you're keeping your stock springs, Tokico's will work. Tokico's don't seem to handle lowered springs very well, but work great w/stock springs.

i only have agx's on the rears and my fronts should be arriving today or tomorrow at latest, and when i had rear set on 2(low becuz i still have stock front struts) they were just too soft, it might be cuz i have progress springs, but right now my car feels stock, so i put rears to 3 and when we put the fronts in ill probably go up to 5 in the rear and 2-3 in front... i like a stiff ride, but it is no way stiff on the low settings. a lot has to do with what springs u use. all i can say is even though it was soft on 2, these are some sweet shocks, such a controlled feel, i just need to get rid of these junk stock fronts

The administrators should be able to change it for you.

I emailed them 3 months ago and still haven't received a response.

That's what I get for donating less than 20 dollars...

I own them too. I think they suck. They have no rebound damping to speak of. My s**t bounces all over the place.

Well said. Wish I had the money to get rid of mine in favor of the AGX's!
