i would have some one else do it, if you dont to it right it comes out very bad, expect to pay 150-250 depending on what tint you get where you go and who you know.

Definatally leave it to the pro's. They put special solution on the window to clean it and what not, and if they screw up you get new tint.

I used to have 28/15% tint on my car (sig), but I just changed to 5% all around 2 days ago. It looks SOO much better and is alot cooler. 5% is illigal everywhere, but down here in Florida they are lax about it so you would only get caught as maybe a second offense.

I take it you're from NJ... There a lot of bro's in NJ.

My recommendation is to make sure of the brand of tint used. That is important as it is always dealing with UV rays. UV rays tend to fade the tint over time. Madico is a good tint brand. My neighbor has been tinting for years and that's what she uses. She also tint's out businesses and jails with it... Gila is also a good brand.

If you go to a shop where they use a computer to cut it, they will charge you more to pay off the $30,000 machine... Tinting windows is done by a lot of "old schoolers" that hand cut it perfect.

Shop around. In NJ, I would go NO darker than 20% around... I have 20% around and I sweat cops all the time but I didn't get pulled over yet...

Stay away from the reflective tint unless your car is silver or you're looking for attention..

You mean Llumar? I knew you did

Anyway, in NJ, don't go any darker than 35% on the front windows. My bro lives in NJ and has 20/35 on his maxima and it looks good. Not as good as my 5%, but, hey, I'm in FL.

Hey Craig, where did you get it tinted like that? I am interested in getting mine tinted 5% as well, but I thought no one around here would do it since it wasn't legal. Did you know somebody at the shop who did it for you? How much did you end up paying. Thanks!!

whats up dude.

I got it done at Precision Window tinting. It's on 17-92 in longwood, not too far away from Bill Ray Nissan. It's a tiny little shop, It's on the left side coming from lake mary. I didn't know anyone there, but my friends got it done there and their's looked really good.

They will do it for you but you gotta pay cash if u want it 5% and they tell you they are not held responsible. They give u a card with the date and that's the 1 year warranty.

I had 28% in the front and 15 in the back, and let me tell u it looks SOOO much better now with 5%. Get the black tint, not the mirror or any of that other crap.

Total cost was $150 for everything + $50 to strip and clean the old tint off. The guy is cool and you will love the job. Let me know how it turns out..

I have talked to a bunch of cops...Legally you can have zero tint on front driver side and passenger window as well as windshield, unless it comes from the factory tinted. On any window behind those you may tint as dark as you would like.

Sweet, I heard that place was good..

I have about 7 dings in 3 panels...they first quoted me like $250 but my mom told her yesterday was my birthday and she dropped the price to $170! That's a really good deal I think.

Well, I got mine taken out on sat. and dave did a good job. I seriously had like 15 minor dents and dings taken out, and I love having a smooth finish once again. Next school year I am definitely parking in the back of the lot to avoid dings. How did yours turn out? Don't you think it makes your Max look 5x better?

Dave was very nice...he kept calling me sir...people don't usually call 17 year old's sir so It was kinda nice

He even took out dents that I didn't know where there...my car looks great now. Very happy with his work.

People never hit my car at school, but they've ripped my maxima.org sticker off, spitted on it, through slurpee on my hood, and girls put stickers on my exhausts .I was at a party and this drunk kid was throwing beer bottles near my car. I called his name right in the middle of his throw and he turned and was like whaaaaa? As he turned he forgot to let go of the bottle and threw it as he turned. It hit my car, but I thought there was no damage becuase it was midnight and I couldn't see. Needless to say there was a big dent and 2 scratches. Dave got the dent out, but not the little knicks...Oh well.

Overall everything looks tight, definatally worth it

Clear some things up...

First off, this is not correct.

Check your local tint laws. In utah, like most places, you can get a 50% tint on the front Driver/passenger side windows. On the back two windows and rear window you can get 35%. I have 35% on my car and i wihs i would have gotten 20% but you live and learn....

On the front windshield you can have a banner that comes down no more than 4inches...

You can't have anything on the front windshield or the front windows. You can have 35% on the rear windows and 35% on the rear windshield. (Meaning 35% of the light penetrates into the car.)

You should clear things up. Only post of what you know of in utah. All laws are different and in jersey which most of these guys were talking about it is illegal to tint the front windows, windshield and have banner on it. Do they enforce it is another question

Well I know people who have never gotten a ticket for tinting and their windows have been tinted for years. Another friend of mine had hers pretty freakin dark and she got about 10 tickets in a month before she got rid of her tint...they are about 40 bucks a piece so you make the decision...

Alright, I'm just a little confused now. Everyone recomends getting tint done by the pros yet my aunt claims it isn't that hard. My uncle offered me a 100x4 ft. roll of 47% smoke window tint for free. My aunt knows nothing about tinting and she claims it's easy but time consuming. She tinted all the windows in the house and it looks really good. No bubbles or anything. Maybe I'll try my brothers car first...
