Max VS Corrado VR6--who's quicker?

OK, yes I have searched, but didnt find much info. My roommate insists that a Corrado SLC (VR6) 5 spd will "kick my a**". Now I looked up the numbers and it looks like it'd be a pretty close race if both were stock, no ****-kicking either way.
'94 Corrado SLC -- 177HP, 178TQ, ~2800lbs
'96 Max SE(stock)- 190HP, 205TQ, ~3025lbs

I have HAI, and thats it. So probably a few more horsies, and less torque? Now maybe its just me, but it seems that ~15 hp and ~17 tq would make up for the 200+ weight difference in the max. Anyone raced a stock SLC? Have any 1/4 mile times? Thanks for any input.

Raced one on the Highway not too long ago....

His body panels and paint looked like crap but he had nice rims/tires, only mods I could tell were lowered+Exaust.

I owned his A$$ on any open stretch (Ypipe)but the little "bastich" kept comming back for more, at the next pack of cars, at which time he began WEAVING in and out of lanes with a Death Wish so I said F-it, I've spent too much on my MAX to get into a wreck.
