Questions about ground controls/kybs
I bought the ground controls off someone on the forum, and so I had no directions with them, just to preface this question. I have two long threaded sleeves and two short threaded sleeves, two long springs and two short springs. My question is where each of these go, front or back for each.
Also, the front KYBs have those large spring seats on them, and the gc sleeves don't completely seat all the way around, is this a problem.
Finally, I know everyone has complained of a crunching/scraping noise when they have this setup, so I was wondering if that spring insulator stuff from home depot/lowes is the fix.

if i'm not mistaken, the long sleeves go with the long springs and the short sleeves with the short springs. the long ones go in front of the car, while the short ones go in the back of the car. as for the spring seats you talk about, you're going to have to grind that seat until it fits right through the ground control sleeves. the crunching sound, i don't know. i've never had that problem.

What do you mean by "grind that seat until it fits right through the ground control sleeves"?
I know I had to grind down the hexagonal shaped piece on the top of the strut, but what other part would I have to grind if any?

Re: Questions about ground controls/kybs
OK,
I won't be able to do this until next week, but PM me your fax #, and I'll fax you the horrible directions GC gives you. Long springs (which shouldn't be much longer) are for the front.
The place on the KYB AGXs where the sleeve wont fit over - you have to grind that so the sleeves will fit over. (The directions from GC tell you to grind this)
You'll have more questions. It was a tough install for me (but others here have done it within 4 hours) but I figured it out.
