Q? Painting Altezzas

Has anyone taken apart and painted the inside (chrome area) of the Altezza to match the Max's body color? I see alot of painting of the exterior plastic of the lights, but it does not appear to be difficult to separate the pieces and paint the interior of the lamps instead.

the crappy quality of the Altezza is aggrivating and the chrome on my inner driverside lamp is simply erroding away (after only two months of being installed). I came up with this idea, and was curious if anyone has attempted to do this.

Thank you.
