18x8 is the Min for 235 size tire but it can be done with a 7.5 width. My sig is 18x8 245/40 that is what it looks like.

With a 7.5 rim width 215 is about the widest recommended tire you could put on safely but 35 would make it quite a bit to short. A 215/40 or 45 would be better. The best would be an 8" to 9" rim width which would allow you to use a 234/40 which I have read is the best size for the Max.

Check this out... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Put the stock size tire and wheel (215/65-15) in the left side and your new sizes in the right side to see how they compare both in height and width.

Hope this helps...

I'm getting 235/40/18 for 18x7.5 konig wheels....and the site that deals with the wheels/tires said 235/40/18 will be more then fine for 7.5 width....... Just don't go with 245, and u'll be fine.

I know this is on odd question, however I don't know the width of my rims. I have 235/45/17's on it. Is there anyway to tell.

There Chrome Momo Arrows also. I got a good deal and failed to ask questions before I bought them.

Remove the wheel and look at the inner center it should say 17 7.5JJ or 17x8JJ if is a 8 wide. My wifes rims say the width and also my old rims. As a matter of fact my stock hubcaps say 15x6 right in the inner center. So now go out and jack up the car and remove one of your wheels and find out.
