Alright guys thought you might like to know that yesterday I rode in my friends 96 se 5spd. He has a few mods cai, y-pipe, and fstb. We pull up to a red light I hear this car reving its engine. I look to the left to see this guy looking at us. I smile and give him the customary lets race wave. He nods in agreement I hear him in the gas now he must have had the thing at 5,000 rpms. That dang 4" tip sounded terrible like a bee in a can. Anyways my friend revs it to a mere 1500rpms drops the clutch as the light turns green we get a good car and a half jump. We catch second followed by a chirp in third by then mister civic si is 4 car lengths back. His mods were an aem cold air intake, and a greedy exhuast. Oh well another one bites the dust.

I was cruising up on DPA(on LI) the other nite. This black SI pulled up next to me reving the $hit out of his engine. I decided to race him at the light we were at. Light turned green and i was gone. He was easily 3 cars behind me, but he did catch up around 80mph, but couldnt get ahead of me though, once we hit 100mph i was gone!! Afterwards i talked to him, he showed me that he had a short throw, DC headers, AEM CAI, MSD ignitionn and some crap Cat back. I couldnt believe with all he had he still couldnt catch me. All i have is the CAI. The kid saw that i only had the CAI and was like WHOA!! I laughed as i drove away. lol

Nice kills guys.

ny96maxse: good kill on the SI. I noticed you drive an auto. So, how did you launch your auto when you dusted that SI?

I have yet to take on an SI. I don't know how I would do. As least you guys have some mods like CAI. I don't have any performance mods...yet.

so embarassing...

lol not really, all things considered, but saturday night I was crusing up francis louis in queens with a fully loaded car (6 people!!) and anyway we see this real real ricey red civic... huge tach, 19's the works. Anyway I thought I'd be real cool and show him up so I got him to go from a rolling start. ****. LOL. As soon as he took off I heard the turbo spooling up and then I heard the BOV. Dang. He had me by a car when I shut it down because there was a stop sign up a head. The M'fer just ran the stop sign, took the corner like it was nothing and blazed ahead. I charged back and started gaining on him but he had like 10 car lengths at that time.

Time for boost kiddies.

Civic killer

I live in Atlanta, So around here is pretty much civic town everyone here tries to race there civic against anything. It's pretty much a daily thing when you have a civic roll up on your tring to race.. but sometimes i let them get there hopes up and let them have the lead for a quick sec .. then i just drop gear and leave them wondering where they went wrong .. kinda funny ..
A civic with any mods really don't stand a chance with a Maxima ... F***k i'm rambling on ..
Well keep killing them Hondas !

Oh yeah ny96maxse where did you get that front grill conversion ? To nice

Uh..

Nice kills guys, but to go as far as "A civic with any mods really don't stand a chance with a Maxima". That's way off base. There's a LOT of *INSANELY* fast civics out there. CKNY found a decent one, and there's 1 for ever 300 riced civics in my area, so just think about that next time one of em rev's at you. (haha =P)

PRPMAX: The grille on my car is from Stillen, its the SMX grille. I paid $115 for it plus $10 shipping. The guy told me that it would work on a 97-99, just with small modification.

Whenever i race a civic off the line, i usually just punch it, with the car in O/D. Once in a while i do the "one, two, drive" thing too. That works sometimes. See the thing is, is that Civic SI has a high a$$ redline, so they can bring their car up near 8,000-9,000 plus they have that V-tech crap too!! Thats really the advantage the Civic SI has. When im on the fly, i usually down shift into 2nd gear and punch it, the sound of my CAI keeps the civic away from me!!

But i haven't seen a civic that can take it yet..
But i do know that they are some civic that you just don't want to mess with .
