Now, keep in mind the more you slip your clutch, the shorter it's life would be. I only do this the 2 or so times a year I go to the drag strip. A quick slip is less wear than a long slow slip
But if you wanna wear your clutch out so you can get that high performance aftermarket clutch, do it all the time!
No more than 2000rpms for best take off
My max has about an extra 20hp or so with my mods, but when I was bone stock, I would still take off at 2000rpms for best take off.
At the light:
1. Hold your rpms at 2000, and try not to have the clutch all the way on the floor as your holding your rpms. This will save you time when you launch.
2. When light goes green, don't just jump off the clutch and smash the gas, you'll spin to much, and you'll lose.
3. Control the clutch with the gas as you let it out from 2000rpms, but do it fast. A little chirp is fine, and as soon as you feel your tires hook back up with the road, smash that ****in pedal. Remember, this is all done in one quick motion.
4. Shift fast as you can as soon as you see the rpms reach between 6000 and 6500, another words 6300. If your rpms touches any of that red, you lose.
5. Practice!
