Re: These light problems!

For someone who's been on the .org for about 1 month, how many Maxima owners do you know who has check engine lights?

02 sensors go out, that's probably the most common CEL problem. I'm sure that happens to all cars. I've had my car for close to 1 year and I've got no CEL yet but one of these days, it's gonna pop up, I'm gonna pull the code, reset it and fix it if it comes back.

I think I should post a thread that says my CEL is not on. Everyone should post threads whenever their CEL is off. Then, people will start complaining that their CEL is not on?

BTW, welcome to the .org

Well smart guy! maybe you should post a thread about your CEL being on. Thanks for the invitation to the org.

Calm down, the CEL isnt that big of a deal.

Read this. There is a reason it's marked "Important" and stuck at the top of the forum...

I think you're stressing yourself out too much over a simple CEL. It won't go away if the problem persists but here's a hint:

Pull the code & fix it and just maybe, the light will go away and I quote, you won't get upset "just by looking at the little s##t light in the dash, that seem to never go away!"

p.s.: Thanks for the compliment, I do consider myself not dumb so I agree with you there.

Cats are good .... I prefer dogs though. Oh wait, you're talking about the car.

starchildmax, you need to try and catch that CEL when it comes on. Hopefully, you'll get it.

In my Escort, the CEL would also come on and off but it was because of the 02 sensor (only had 1, the good ol' days). Replaced it and no more CEL.
