would this be insurance fraud?

I'm still shopping around for insurance on my 98 Max. Lowest offer, on my parents insurance is still $2400

I was thinking that since my dad drives a 96 dodge incrapid, would it be cheaper to put him on my Max and put me on the Incrapid, and then add each other as secondary drivers on our own cars? Is this even possible, and if so, would it be cheaper, or just fraudulent?

When I was younger that is what my family, and friends families did. In fact when I first got married, my wife was on my car and I on her truck so it was cheaper.

yep no probs with that - just as long as you don't mind not being the primary driver...

theirs alot of things you can do to work around insurance. if you don't "live" in the household of the car owner then you are not an everyday driver. therefore if you were in an accident in that car you were "borrowing" the vehicle they will try to prove that you are an everyday driver but they won't succeed (atleast they didn't with me) Insurance sucks a$$ and you gotta make sure you get em back for some of the money they take. can you believe $1 of every $10 insurance companies get actually goes to a claim!! the rest is like 90% profit.
