my vent blower resistor went out...anyone else had this prob?

i got into my car after work this afternoon...hot as sin outside so i turn on the AC. turned it up to 1 nothing, 2 nothing, 3 nothing, 4 full blast AC pours out. so i stop by the service dept at the local nissan dealer and he tells me its the vent blower resistor. he climbed under the dash and showed me where its located. seems easy enough to change out...but just wondering if anyone else has had to do the same thing? and if anyone has...is it as straight forward as it looks? the part was $20. thanks.
