i raced my friends 99 s80 twice tonite and beat him by 3 car lengths from 0-90. i was just lookin at the specs for his car and am thinkin how the hell i beat him...201 hp, 243 ft-lbs, 3600 lbs. all i have is a popcharger. is there something wrong here?

anyway i just recorded my mileage tonite again, all city driving...15 mpg, isnt that very low? any help here would be appreciated...thanx.

city MPG's seem a little low...unless you have a heavy foot (like to floor it for the hell of it) but in my opinion it seems a little low....

 

Dude, I would guarentee you that the reason your gas mileage is so horrible is because you race. You said you raced your friedn twice, and I would bet that you probably go over 3k RPM when accelerating all the time. This kills your gas. Especially in the city.

 

i live in queens, ny - my gas mileage is horrible as well, a tank gives me about 220-250 miles.

 

no it is simply power to weight ratio.

 

nah i think something is wrong i dont race that often. this whole past week i kept it under 2.5k rpms the only time i went over that was racing him to 90 twice thats it. and still 14.92 mpg.
