Max SE 5sp VS Benz C280 auto

What do you think the chance are of beating it? My friend just got one the other day and he keeps talking junk about how fast it is and that he will burn me. Does anybody know what the times on it are?

You'll proably win. Benzes weigh alot. Their reason for bieng is that they love to cruise at high speed for a loooong time. And they do it very safely, too. Getting to that hi speed is quick, but not the quickest.

Thanks!! Good thing to know. I never actually raced one off the line. i figured that they really only had top end speed anyway. I gonna tell him to stop talking junk and bring it.

They're a low 16, high 15 second car stock. Even if you're an average 5-speed driver you should have no problem beating him.

Yeah pretty much!! They are compared to the M5 which should be no comparison there anyway. We all know that BMW is the best for performance. Benz's are chicks cars or lazy people and BMW is a real man's car!!

E55 will do just about everything described by dwapenyi. That thing is serious performance for a luxury car. My friend owns a 2001 E 320 and that thing is pretty fast for a six cylinder and the E55 is an eight cylinder. Good luck.

Just noticed your supercharged , but still, up against 350 hp and nearly 400 lb/ft TQ from 3100-4500 RPM, talk about diesel locomotive pavement stomping power! Only an M5 can take it, and the M5 will work very hard to do so

You also have to remember about the weight ratio and it's not as fast as the M5 due to it only being available in an auto... Mighty fast auto tho... I would actually love to see that, an S/C Max vs. E55 AMG

Last year I encountered a CLK 430 while going onto a bridge onramp...

Despite its weight that thing can hustle...I didn't turn off my OD button at the time and the VB mod didn't quite help when I tried to change lanes before it flew by me.
