The GLE comes with the leather, bose, and allof that other luxury stuff... you can get an SE with GLE stuff in it but it's more expensive... I got mine out on Long Island, New York in May for $17,000 next year u could probably get the same one I have for around the same price depends on the miles. I bought mine with 44,000mi on it. The SE with leather and all that good stuff should be up around 18k-19k next year... the SE is more sport tuned... u can get the SE in manual too... but if you want auto u should get the GLE and put the performance mods on the car afterwards.

Do the prices rise greatly? Because i don't need anythign luxury that much.. liek around 15 g's is good, then i can build from there. Tinted windows also.

if you dont really want luxury stuff... go with the SE... u can find one for 15k... u can get the leather another time... i think nissan only tintss up to 35%... i would go with 20% or 15% thats what i have on my car and it looks really good

Since the engine is identical in all trim levels, I would reccommend getting a GXE. If you want the leather and climate control badly, then I don't think you can get that in a gxe. I don't consider the other models that much more luxurious than the GXE. Unless if the BOSE and wood dash kit gets you all hot. The GXE is a bargain. You can probably get a 97 GXE for like 10-12k.

You can't get a GXE with auto CLimate... thats WHy I won't settle for one... I keep seeing one and I'm like, damn... but no... cuz I want ATC, BOSE, & Leather but oh well to each his own
Where can u add leather aftermarket and how much would it be?

GXE haves and have nots

Also can't get 5spd w/sunroof
But, there are enough parts donors to get anything you want for said GXE if you get it cheap enough. liquid engine mounts for earlier Maximas is another thing. 3rd party roof with lifetime warranty is around $1k

I have an SE with every factory option except the cold-weather package. Leather, Climate Control, Bose, Dual Power Seats, 6 Disc Changer, the list continues.

Next year you'll be able to get one like mine for less than 15K

Your making a good choice in getting a 4th generation max. Something you should think about is getting a black maxima because they scratch very easily and it takes forever to wash and wax, and once your done washing it, 5 minutes later its dirty again. If your looking for a cheap max and want to modify it, get a GXE which has exactly the same engine with decent options and then you'll still have enough money to do some mods.

you can get leather for a GXE by aftermarket replacements such as Katzkin (http://www.katzkin.com) and Classic Soft Trim (http://www.classicsofttrim.com)
