Exhaust Tips??? Need pics!

I'm looking for a good quality exhaust tip that looks nice with a 31/2 Inch outlet. Can anyone recommend a brand? Pics would be appreciated!

This was a post of mine from a couple of weeks ago...I never got any more answers. I'm looking for something about 3" in diameter.

I found two on JC Whitney's site, they look nice and are about 3.5" in diameter...too big for me, but maybe suitable for you.

Here's the link.

I also have a question.. if i want a complete muffler... for example the greddy cat-back exhaust {500)... do i need to get new pipes for it... i want my car to sounds like a street fighter.... not no wuss... so i just wanna install the catback exhaust... is that possible.... car sound great for 500?

I have a friend who has a civic.. and bought a muffler for 100.. it sounds way better than mine...

good idea 500... for a greddy catback exhaust on a 97 black GLE?

You want sound but what about performance? Here's a combo for you... Y-pipe, B-pipe, Stillen SS Muffler... now that's loud and deep! Stillen SS Muffler is one of the loudest out there, deep, angry sound.

Well.. i don't want it to sound SO loud... Maxima's are known to be quiet.. and i would like it to be some what quiet at cruisin' speed... but when i hit the peddle and accelerate.. i want to hear it growl... any exhaust/muffle like that out there.. under 500$ ... right now i'm goin' with looks.. no performance yet... i'm only 18.. with a 7 $ph job..... sux... don't work enuf... and i need cash to hook up my max.... so a good deal for a cheap price is what i need... thanx again!

I want the same thing. What is the best mod to get when you want a nice deep sound only when you step on it. I love my quiet sound when crusing but would like something loundere when I am racing.
Thanks,
Paul

Ok, I think the sound you guys are going for is best described with Y-pipe, custom B-pipe (without the resonator), stock muffler. It won't wake up your neighbors, but will definitely give you some good sound. Muffler alone won't give you anything unless you do something up front, you're still restricting all flow to the muffler. If you plan on spending $500, this is pretty much what everyone will tell you, cause mufflers can be cheap. Y and B pipes will cost you about $500, not only this will give you sound, plus it'll give you 15-20 hp. Look at my exhaust setup, it definitely doesn't sound stock and it isn't loud either. Also do a search on sound, exhaust sound, or muffler sound, I'm sure you'll find a lot of different setups there. And if you want looks, put a nice tip on your stock muffler. Good Luck!!

Well, I went down to my favorite local exhaust shop and picked out a nice looking chrome 3 1/2 outlet double wall tip and had it installed. It cost me 40$ all told. I'm very pleased with the look. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
