Avalonracing caries the kit not by much about $40 cheaper (last I checked) and another 7+ days to wait.

Check the faq regarding the bumpers. Most people do the front end conversion since that is what really makes the difference along with the stillen kit.

You could mold it but I think it would be cheaper buying the 97 bumper with the 97 lip + 95-96 sides + rear.

Not necessarily.. The grill could stay you may have to sand down the bottom edges so that you can fit it with the bumper.. Headlights can stay, but the newer ones look nice and output more light..

This is from William(Metallic97GXE):

bolts to remove are in the fender well it is bolted to the bumper about 4 or 5,then the grill remove
the grill then there are about 2-3 bolts here you will find that there is styrofoam in the bumper cover hehe........then the bolts underneath the car in the front about
5...and you are set easier said than done once you do one side the other side will be a snap I did not have a manual I just did it...it took me about 2 hrs grill,mesh and
bumper removal and install....

I'm doing some changes to the forum so I have to close it so someone wont interrupt what the program is doing.. Sorry for the inconvience.

To get it cheaper find a local shop. On the internet it wa something like $1000 and a local shop sells it for $650 and you dont have to pay shipping. Some will even install it for you free of charge.
Good Luck,
Paul

This is kinda off-topic, but yea, the 97-99 headlamps may look really nice (see-through cleared look), but I don't think I would agree that they output more light than 95-96's. The 97-99 headlamps are made out of cheap plastic while the 95-96 headlamps are made out of real glass. If you put real HID xenons in it, then that's a whole different story. Just FYI if u decide to do the 97-99 conversion.

Well, since they have the diamond mirrors behind the headlights that the 95-96 dun have. WOuldnt it have more output because of this?

With those diamond mirrors, I think you would have more of a "controlled" beam pattern in those 97-99 lamps. On the other hand, if you put a real HID xenon conversion kit, I THINK you would most likely have a slightly better cutoff beam pattern (better results) with the 97-99 headlamps while in the 95-96 headlamps, light just goes everywhere! My pattern is just terrible and it doesn't have a great cutoff line. It looks like I have high beams on all the time because I don't have a cutoff really.

On the other hand, I think that 97-99 lamps would probably have a greater light output IF THEY WERE MADE OF GLASS. If it weren't for the plastic, it would probably be better. Some people may disagree with me, but my reasoning for all this is based on what the headlamp is made out of.
