I'm interested in getting some 17 inch wheels for my 4th gen. I picked up my 16 inch 2000 gle right when the car came out so that was the best I could do then. but now it seems there are a whole bunch of wheels to choose from: 2002 Altima SE, 2000 Q45t, 2000 Maxima SE, 2002 Maxima SE, 2002 G35.
Just wondering what you guys think and if you've got the wheels on your car can you post a pic for comparison.
BTW if I'm not mistaken I believe the size 17X7, weight, offset is the same on all of them right.
Any thoughts on how the ride is with the oem 17'scompared to your old wheels??

Hello,

I have 2002 SE rims right now on my 96 SE. I think they look really nice. I used to have the 15 inch blade style rims and the 17" have a much nicer ride, as the handling is improved. The only negatives are the weight (i believe) and theres only about 5 tires that will fit it. I got them pretty cheap though, so that makes up for it. Maybe I can borrow a camera and take some pics. Not sure on the offset of the rims for the other cars. I know for a fact though that at least one other board member has the 2002 Altima rims.

My pics in order of merit:
(1) 02 Max SE, (2) 02 Altima SE, (3) 02 Max GLE
I like the G35 rims too but have never seen them on a 4th gen.

I have narrow my choice down to the 2000 Q45t and 2002 Altima SE wheels. I also like the 2002 Infiniti I35 wheels, but they are mucho bucks and can't find a set. I am having a hard time finding a good tire for em though as I am going with a 215/50/17.

I think the Q wheels may be 7.5, but I may be wrong.

How much are you willing to spend for 215/50-17?

Why not get the IS300 Rims? They have the same bolt pattern and are a very good looking 5spoke.

If you do a search, Mishmosh had posted 2k2 Altima wheel pics.

Ahh .. I'll do the search myself:

Here's a linked pic from Mishmosh's thread (I'm sure Mishmosh won't mind):

There's a lot more angles on the thread so check it out if you're interested.
