Powerchip for my max???
I've been lookin at this ecu upgrade made by powerchip. I know most of the people on the board say its a waste a money for a chip on a max, but I'd just like to know if anyone had experienced this chip on their max.

yes - it says to cut wires goinbg to my ECU... Id rather not do that without knowing why its going there in the first place. Is it just for the speed governer? Or does it server other functions as well? Will cruise still work? etc... So Id rather opt for a programmed ECU and get a few horses at the same time.

You cut the transmission speed sensor wire and put it on a switch, and you will experience no ill-effects. Without a switch you will experience low idle and perhaps stalling at idle, but if you have it on a switch you will be fine. No CEL either (with the use of a switch). Every other vehicle function will still work, besides the pesky 116mph governor.
