Is it just me or do you guys tend to park next to other Maximas?

Say you're in the TGI Friday's parking lot and there are only 2 places, one between an explorer and another explorer, the other one between an expedition and another Maxima... I know, obvious choice.

Or there are plenty of spots close in, but there's another good lookin' Max further out... you drive out there next to the Max, right?

My girl makes fun of me when I do it, but it's an irresistable urge. Sometimes I spot 2 or 3 Maxes parked next to eachother, in which case you couldn't PAY me to park somewhere else!

HOWEVER... alot of times, there's just a regular Max, not lowered, no tint, and (UGH!) plastic wheel covers! This is a special circumstance, and doesn't always count.

parking

Sometimes I try to park next to a non-lowered, non-tinted one, just so they get a chance to see how much better their car can look.....

Depends. I don't want some other Maxima owner kicking my car in just cuz they are jealous. Not to say that my Maxima is the best (not even close), but it is modded and I think it looks nice. But there are some messed up people out there.

If it's a hot chick driving the other Maxima then of course I'll park in the adjacent space. Hell if it was a hot chick I don't care what car she drives (or if she drives at all)...I'm parking right next to her. hehehe...

I don't think it's that I try to park by other maximas... I just try to avoid parking by any mammoth explorers/expeditions/excursions that have doors that weigh about 250lb apiece and will put a nice dent high up in your door Sport utes are okay, it's just that I grew up in rural north Alabama, and off road vehicles tend to actually go off-road up there... seems like a huge waste to just drive them on the pavement. I would lower my max but I need the ground clearance when I go home.

Glad to hear you guys take care of your cars

Wow, I thought I was one of the few that actually cared for my car. I've had a few friends that really didn't give a damn about their cars. If it rained for me it was a curse, esp. if I just washed it and if I didn't have a garage, however, for my friends, they would say, "Yeah, my car's getting rinsed!" Blasphemy I say to myself!

I, too, tend to park away from other cars that are parked a little too close to each other, away from big rigs, or away from "beater" cars. Some people just don't seem to care, so I tend to park by those that seem to be taken care of and/or park away from people--what's an extra 5 to 20 seconds to walk to the store, esp. knowing that you're Maxima will be safe from the parking lot demons?

Re: Glad to hear you guys take care of your cars

I really do not like to park next to anybody. If I have to I usually pick smaller cars with short doors. I also like the end parking spaces and I will angle the whole car toward the curb. Going to the mall sucks the worst. Make sure you park way out there. I only have one door ding and I have a 97. Damn I was pissed, happened while the wife had it. She got her *** chewed, then she got mad at me. Like she had the right.

I try to stay away from anything that might put a huge
dent in my door. Nice small cars with small doors are
good. But you never know. End spots are good too.
My girlfriend gets pissed when I spend time trying to find
a good spot at the mall. So impatient!!
