Original Nissan Emblems vendors?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has info on where to get original Nissan emblems? Mine are gold in color but they faded and chipping away. Thanks.

If you want Gold I'm pretty sure you'll have to get them from your dealer or from somebody here on the .Org. Try www.CustomMaxima.com , but I'm pretty sure they only sell chrome.

Okay thanks for that info Cyrus. I've check the site and yes indeed they sell chrome but they don't have all the M-A-X-I-M-A letters which I would definitely wish to get my hands on. I'll with the dealers too. Thanks again.

No Gold. I called the dealership and they told me that they normally order chrome ones and they would send them out to have it plated. And that's another extra on top of the $22 per emblem and per letter.

Which Nissan dealership did you speak with and what was the final price that they quoted you to get everything done?

I have one slightly larger than the rear emblem on 95-99 maxs...it's about 1/4'' larger in radius.

$10 shipped, just as my sig says.

Is there any way to refinish or restore the Gold plating onto emblems & lettering, or do they have to be replaced? Starting to wear off noticibly now . . .

lscottjr - I talked to the guys at Sheehy Nissan here MD. I never got around into asking the final price for each after the plating is done for the price will be out of my range. Anyhu, I tried cleaning one the emblems with brass/chrome/gold plating solution (from Lowe's) but no changes. In fact, the solution kinda ate up the surface a little and turned a little more faded looking than it was before. It's probably that cleaner I used is too strong or what, but I wouldn't try it anymore. Good luck to us.

Gold Emblems?

Thanks for the info.......

So far it looks like I'll be keeping my silver emblems (darn! and that's after I bought gold Maxima license plates)

Thanks!

Let me know if you cannot find a place to gold plate your emblems. I have a friend locally that does a good job and can put the gold plating on your emblems real cheap.
Thanks,
Greg
