Maxspeed Springs just installed

I just bought the Maxspeed springs for my 96 SE. It didn't drop it that much, but it handles better now. I have some pics on my homepage for anyone interested.

Looks good Bro...that is the stance it should have from the factory in my opinion. And I second it on the ride quality.

Happy Motoring!

Hey Wizza
Thanks for you work and help on the GB. Just got mine today and will install tomorrow. I really liked the creative pricing sure helped us Cdn's on the overall cost.

Great color and your interrior looks clean too! Nice car!!! What struts are you running the springs with? The drop makes the car look like it should have right from the factory. Nice springs for 100 bucks!

I'm currently using stock shocks. I've been using them for the past couple of months and there are no signs of wear. I got them installed at Speedvision in Glendale, CA. I want to eventually get some kyb agx shocks.

UPDATE! 06/20/02
Just had my car lowered by SpeedVision in Glendale for under $100. They did a great job. They installed the Maxspeed springs that I bought from the group-buy for $100 including shipping. The ride quality is almost like stock springs and the handling has improved significantly. The drop is not nearly as low as the Sprints, but it's ok for now. The car is supposed to get lower after the springs settle, which is in about 3 weeks. I'll keep you updated.

Thats from his homepage. So under $100

I cut a coil off of my maxspeeds. Rides just the same. Looks better.

My girl lives there so I go up there often. Plus i'm gettin my maxspeed springs from the ongoing groupdeal. Thanks. by the way, your ride looks sick

Installed my Maxspeeds about 3 weeks ago. I got pics, just gotta post them.

For me, it dropped about 1 3/4" all around. It makes the car look the way it should have from the factory. BTW, I have KYB AGX's with em and the suspension is better then when I first bought the car.

The spring has 6 six coils, if you cut one complete coil off thats one coil, leaving you with 5 coils. Thats what hes talking about. By cutting one front coil in the front the vehicle will be lowered a bit more in the front. He cut them at my place in like 10 mins both of them.

after i get my maxspeed should i cut a coil? I'm gonna fun it on stock springs for low budget. Would cuttin a xtra coil ruin the spring and or the worsten the shox?

I have the front set to 3 and the rear to 2.

Its a little bouncy up front (I should set it to 2 up front) but I love the way it feels. Although lately I have been getting annoyed with spilling things on myself while driving.

Love the combination of AGX's with Maxspeeds.

I agree, if you want a lower drop, buy springs with a lower drop.

You had to remove stock shocks struts to add the springs, right? Do you have instructions anywhere showing a novice how to do this? If you could you email them to me at Creutzmann@hotmail.com. I'd really appreciate it. Am considering these springs with new shocks/struts.

why bother to cut a front coil get sprints. The reason why some people do it is because they dont want to reinstall a set of new springs and sell their old ones. Or some people dont know how low a spring will sit their car so they buy what ever and are not happy with the way the car looks. If your starting from scratch just get sprint springs.

i was thinking about sprint springs, but if am driving on stock SE shocks and struts will that be ok, and with sprint and stillen body kit, will i be okay with everyday driving, in snow and such, or will my car be to low and risky to drive everywhere??

Sprint has a low drop, ..too much compression for oem shocks...potentially extremely dangerous.

By the way...I got this lovely message on Cardomain "Our member pages have been temporarily disabled this Monday evening due to extraordinarily high traffic volumes from Christmas shoppers. Please check back soon again. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!" I'll check out your page when cardomain comes back up.

Theres nothing dangerous about that setup. The only danger is the life of the shock itself. There are two members that I know that are riding on sprints and stock shocks. They both drive very fast in the streets. I myself was driving on stock shocks and aftermarket springs, is just a mushy ride.
