Just curious how rare the red 4th gens are. I saw one today on my way somewhere, and it really caught my eye. I have never seen one before, and I have only seen like one red 3rd gen and thats it. Just curious.

 

Hey, I was gonna post a thread like this! Ah well, you beat me to it. I have seen two so far. The first time I saw it was when I was at the dealer the first time it came out. The second time was when I was driving around in New Hampshire and that was the first time I saw it on the streets. In my opinion, it doesn't look good.

 

You're right, the sports car red 4th gens are rather rare. I believe that they were only made in 1999 as part of the SE-limited packages, as the other years were the conservative whites, champagnes, blacks, blues, etc.

They are rare, my mom had the chance to buy one but didn't like the that color on a Maxima, it was a used 99 Lim-SE. . . She also wanted something different from what she had before, my car, and so she got a 2K in a more appealing color to her. I am not a fan of this color personally as I think it takes away from the looks of the car.

Crimson-Blaze is the color... I've got the camel leather interior. 1999.5 SE Limited. Very nice car.

Too bad it's my wife who gets to drive it all the time.

 

Don't know if I like the shade of red though. It kinda looked orangish to me. Or it's just my bad eyes...

yes the color is inferno blaze.
the color is a dark red....compare it to a red mustang..mustangs look orange..

i have a grey cloth interior...
actually, there is another one in my apartment complex..has tan leather interior...

I saw one the other day in a prking lot. I went over to it and checked the registration, it was a 99. Its not a bad color. I wouldnt buy one though!!

 

Wow, there is a 1999.5 Edition for the Maxima? That's pretty cool. I thought the Pathfinder was the only one that had that year model.
