Door Rattle Help!
Door Rattle Help!
Ok,
Well, I have deadened the hell out of the doors and things are MUCH better than stock...
BUT...
i have a rattle in my driver side door that sounds like it is coming from inside the door, more like a buzzing sound when the midbass plays around 400Hz. I have used deadening on all the wires and everything, and have no idea what it is, the only thing i can tell is that it is probably something to do with the door latch or lock, has anyone located this? It rarley rattles, but when the right tone hits, it is LOUD!
also, on the passenger side, the panel vibrates against the door frame on ANY bass note. There are no ways to keep the panel firmly against the door right by the speaker (very bottom left side). I have dried deadening, foam, everything and it will not go away, has anyone had luck with this rattle?
right now, it is just the stock bose system, but in a month, i am putting in dedicated midbass speakers that are getting 150W RMS each, and if it rattles now, there will be no pity then!

Do you have the bose system? My Bose speakers used to rattle the hell out of my door panels, or part of them. Mine was towards the bottom of the door, and it used to bother me so much I drove with my leg against the panel to stop the rattling. Since then I got new speakers that don't have as much thudding bass as the BOSE but better SQ, and got subs too. So now I have my bass (more bass!) but no rattles either. I don't know what it is about that damn drivers door though, my friend says the same thing about his 2k2 Altima. Maybe someone else knows how to stop this...
yeah, i am doing a competition SQ system
i am putting ID CX62 midbass' in the doors and they will be playing about 75-150Hz when i get the sub, but until then, they will be low passed at 150Hz (about). They are 2ohm and i will be running them off an Arc 4150 amp that gives well over 150W (more like 180W) at 2 ohm (the other 2 channels of the amp will go to Rainbow CS210P3 speakers that will get 75W to each channel at 4ohm, they will be in kick panels). So, basically, i know that these doors are going to rattle like hell, even without the clipping of the ****ty bose amps.
so i need some guidance, i have tried every trick i know...
