Can someone help me real quick with an intake prob???

I'm trying to put this K&N filter on but I don't have the mid-pipe. When i took the stock airbox off I saw this wire connected to this lil' sensor inside. How would I attach this to the K&N?? Or what do I do?? Thanks if sombody could help.

Thats your air temp sensor, unscrew it and just find a home for it in that path of that airflow, its ok not to find a home for it right away though as i havent in like 3 weeks.

It's your MAF, just stuff it in there if you can. Between the intake adapter plate and box is fine.

I thought the thing in the pipe was your abmient temp sensor and the plug was the MAF, but either way just stuff it in the pipe and you will be fine.

Ugh, that would be helpful info to know for sure. Anyone else have a clue. I know my car started ok without the airbox one attached but the CEL came on but it thought it wouldnt start at all with the MAF sensor unattached.

Hey, you live in New Orleans? Me too. If you want to, you can email me, or PM and I can take a look at it for you?

Cyrus,

I think you simply have them switched. The tiny piece in the tube is the Air Mass Sensor, a.k.a MAF, more technically, the MAS (Mass Airflow Sensor).

The one that attaches to the stock airbox is the ambient air temperature sensor. This piece costs around $51 retail from Nissan, while the MAF is $370. Be careful with this tube!

What's your question?

Yes, you ordered the right parts, unless you want a PR CAI or something

BTW, what kind of lights are you running? Stock bulbs? The 97+ fronts look so agressive...
