Ultra-Efficient AC Hydrocarbon Refrigerant

Have any of you done any research or used AC products by Enviro-Safe? This product (ES-12a) is supposed to be 32% more efficient than R12 and even more efficient than R-134a. It seems the EPA gods made us use a less efficient refrigerant (R-134a) in the name of global warming. By using a more efficient refrigerant in our older AC systems we can recover some of the efficiency we have lost.
Link to their site: www.autocool-refrigerants.com/product.htm
A case of 12 cans is $69.00 + HAZMAT Charge (Includes Shipping).
They will give quantity discounts. Is this something we would want to pursue a Group Deal on? I believe the price drops to approximately $30.00 per case of 12 cans in quantities of 100 cases.
Your thoughts & ideas.
Be well!!!!

All 4th gens use R134a refridgerant. Can you even put R12 (or R12a) in the system?

No....

Good old freon required different pressures which resulted in different seals/lines, etc....

The ES 12a is compatible with R 134A and can be used in R 134a systems.

Actually, R12 was breaking down the ozone layer. R134a doesn't have the same ozone-robbing effects BUT it does contribute to the greenhouse effect, hence R134a is actually causing global warming ... we just don't get cancer-baked, that's all.

Even though is is compatible with R134a systems, the question is will shops work on your car if they know you have a refrigerant blend? Chances are, a refrigerant ID machine will point out it's not R134a so A/C shops will not hook up their machines to your car because they don't want to contamintae the pure R134a that they have in their tank. A point to consider - check with your A/C shop and see what they say.
