the 99's have'em too, the dude is just a moron, although I got a copy made today and realized there is no way in hell he can **** it up. All they do is put the original and the blank in a machine and the machine does everything he just presses start...

when i bought mine from the dealer...they said not to take it just any ordinary place to get new ones cut. they said to take it to nissan. i thought he was giving my some BS so i took it to a local hardware store where i have had no trouble getting keys cut and what do you know...they didnt work. got my money back and took it to nissan and they cut them perfectly. the guy at nissan didnt know what could have been wrong with the hardware store's keys.

I went to one locksmith and it took him like 4 tries to get one key right. Went to another locksmith and it worked perfect the first time, this is the one I took my Nismo key to. It would have sucked to have a $40 blank key ruined.

Yeah

When i bought my 99 the dealership told me that if i ever lost a key or needed another one i would need to call with the key's serial number (little silver tag on the back up set) and have new ones made as each key has a specific serial to it i guess.
