Starting problem on the Maxee

Hey, having some probs with my max, when I recently bought the car, the car started not wanting to start, had to get it jumped everytime, went to sears 2 weeks later and bought a new battery, 3 days, same s*** happens, if I run my headlights or radio for 2 min, it will not start, the car is modded heavily, so I'm not sure where the prob could be, it has the HKS aftermarket starter (check stillen's site) on there, also, recently my check airbag starteed flashing, but I'm hoping that is due to the low voltage that is running in my car because of this electrical problem and when that is fixed, the airbag module can be resecheduled afterwards, taking my car to the dealer on sat for an oil change, and would rather try fixing it myself before I pay for a diagnostic, at what points can I check the current, what tools would I need? Thanks.

Have you had the alternator checked out? Places like Autozone will scope it for free.

You might be able to find a good one at a scrap yard...

Just check you alternator. An easy way is to check for voltage before and after you start your car at the battery. Before starting is shoulb be around 12 voltsand around 14.5 volts after you got it started. But this would not show if your alternator is putting out enough amperage to charge your battery and/or keep you accessories runnning.(foglights, stereo system, etc.)

thanks, but once the car is started, there are no problems, everything is running without a problem, the only problem is it starting again after it has been turned off. Thanks.
