Stock exhaust - 2" or 2.5" diameter tubing?

Ok, so the Maxima I purchased last month has a custom catback exhaust, and the tubing is all 2.5" (mandrel, of course) tubing on it. Is this the same diameter as stock? I'm asking because I'm planning on selling the muffler that was on that system, but need to know if it (2.5" intake tip) will fit stock systems. I feel like I've read that stock tubing is 2", but when I searched I couldn't find the info.

Thanks!

I think the stock diameter is 2.25". I had a 2.5" inlet muffler welded on and it is bigger than the stock piping but not enough to be a full half inch.

Was it a problem to have the 2.5" welded onto the 2.25" inlet? I'm just trying to get an idea so that I can let the buyer know what he/she will need to do to get it installed. Thanks!

The shop just welded the two sizes together without using an adapter sleeve. If it was 2"-2.5" I dont think it would be possible to do that.
