Would any of you happen to know how many 5-speed 4th gens were produced relative to automatics? I would guess its something like 10:1 automatic vs. manual.

i think 5% of maximas were stick

i was talking to a salesman, and he told me that about 4% of maximas made today are stick! now, he was a salesman, so who knows if he was telling the truth

i heard it was like 8% of 4th gen maximas are 5spd, i dont remember where i heard that tho.

you want to talk about rare? how many I30's (non touring edition) came in 5speed?

Actually in 96 only 3% of I30's were stick. I believe it is harder to find Touring edition in a 5-spd. I think it was less than 1% of I30t's that came in a manual. I'll go back and find the article I read this in to be sure. From personal expeirence it was not easy to find my I30t 5spd. The 5-spd was still standard equipment on the Touring.
