98 GLE vs. Mustang (Auto) RESULTS!

So today, me and my friend (my passenger) were heading down to one of our other buddy's work and one of my other friends was following behind us in his lil 92 Tercel. Well we jump on this 3 lane highway, get in the left lane and there's like this dark blue 91-94 Auto Mustang in the middle lane, dunno if it was V6 or V8 but the guy was alone. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a 4-banger cause he had one loud exhaust and good pick-up. It had some rims and I think exhaust work. I'm just completly stock, unless the OEM spoiler added 10 extra HP, who knows. It was kinda heavy traffic and our lane was clearing up, so me and my friend ended up passing the Stang.

Then finally the middle lane cleared up and the Mustang comes up pretty quick, he gets beside my friend in the Tercel and just goes WOT on him. I heard the exhaust, it was damn loud and I was like "Oh man, don't do that, he's only got a Tercel."

Then a red light comes up. It's me and the Stang at the stop light, no one in front of us. I look over at him, and his chair was reclined so far back, I couldn't even nod at him for a race. I look at my friend in the passenger seat and I was like "Man, should I race him?" and he's like "No man, he'll kill you, it's a MUSTANG!" Of course, I had to prove my friend wrong at that point

The light goes green and all of a sudden the Mustang goes WOT, I heard his exhaust roar and right away, I was like "Screw this!" and just floored it (my tires even spinned a lil). We both gunned it, and right from the start, I started pulling away and it just got uglier. I didn't even have to manually shift We probably got up to 60 mph with me a good 1 or 2 car lengths ahead of him and there was traffic up front so we had to slow down, so I started to slow down but the Mustang, in shame, changed into the right lane and just left the scene. My friend in the passanger seat was looking back at him the whole time and told me when I started passing him, he looked PI$$ED before he changed lanes to run away. He must have been like "HOW THE F*** DID A FAMILY CAR BEAT ME!? BETTER STICK TO THOSE TERCELS!"

I was pretty pleased with my Max and as I was slowing down, I was like "OH S***, the guy in the Tercel!" I looked in my mirror and he was slowly catching back up but the next light turned red and then all the people started staring at me? All these parents with kids in their cars and middle aged adults that saw us race looked at me with that YOU'RE A BAD KID look.
I'm no bad kid, for all they know, I'm probably out to get some groceries

Tinted windows, of course!
Or maybe I should just recline so far back, that no one can see me

I agree, some people think they rule the road with their Mustang, but it's so much fun shutting them down! One guy I know bought a PURPLE 4 cyl. Mustang. People were on his a$$ about it till he finally crashed it. And he refused every race offer he got for some reason

This guy down the road that has a 93 5speed Altima with like 130HP or so, crushed his friend in a V6 mustang....some people will never learn...just cuz about everyone on the road has them- doesnt mean they're the fastest things ever...(like the Civic for another example)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think FORD ever made a 4 cyl. Mustang.

Just Curious..

They did, but it didn't last very long, for obvious reasons

Go to this link, this is a 91 Mustang LX

Now you are all a little more brighter

They also did the Mustang SVO in a 2.3 liter four cylinder.....oh, it also had an svt turbocharger and was good for about 200 hp! I used to have a Merkur XR4Ti, 190 hp spd, rear wheel drive, with that turbo charged 2.3, and it weighed about as much as an escort. A fun, fast car.
