car after the stock ones were shot. I now have NT555s and my not
so humble opinion of them is that they are excellent. I previously
had the NT450 wrapped around my stock 16s and they were great too -
a tremendous improvement over the P7000SS. I suggest skipping the
middle step of the Pirellis and getting either the 450 or 555
depending on the size and your driving style.

Yeah now that I have my new struts and springs I do seem to be losing grip and a little control before the capabilities of the suspension run out. I still like the tires alot. They are confident in all sorts of weather and perform well enough for me, not to mention the sweet tread pattern. On the whole though my suspension is much faster than my engine now...I can't wait to get a CAI installed!

I have a pair of 225/45/17 Pirelli P7000 Super Sport on my current rims. THey have lasted for 2 years now, but are nearing there lifespan. I'd have to say they worked well for the time, being all seasons they were used in the winter. OK but I did end up buying snow tires. For the price they are worth it, but if you want the best grip go with another brand. If total Grip is your choice go with a pait or AutoX wheels from Yokohama or Hoosier, I have a pair of 16" on the stock rims and there is no comparison to street tires. Just watch out for the rain.

The Proxes are very good tires, check in the Southeast Forum, Bags533 got a set.
I have the P7000s and I personally hate them. They squeal so much around the corners, when Micah95GLE's tires did not. They have poor wet traction, and they are even worse when it comes to the road noise.
Search in the Southeast forum ....
