Some Easy Kills

I seem to be having some bad luck at the races lately. Not in wins and losses, but in going at the wrong times/days. For example, when I went last night, at the first one where there were about 50 cars, after the second run, cops came out of no where and busted the races in the middle of racing. At the second site, there were only about 20 cars. Compare this to last night at the same exact site where there were reportedly well over 100 cars.

Anyways, I thought I'd go out, check the scene, pull a couple runs. After all, I'm there to race, not to win. Well, yah, to win, but I like to take on cars I'm not supposed to beat. The first run was with a red MX-3 that had the MX-6 engine conversion, headers, intake and exhaust. He was actually pretty quick. Off the line, he actually squeaked ahead a bit, like my front bumper to the front of his door. But the superior VQ torque prevailed. By the time I got to about 3500rpm, I started pulling on him quite hard. On the 1-2 shift, I kept pulling. By the end of the quarter, he was was a couple feet behind my rear bumper. After the run, he wanted to talk. He asked what I had done, I told him, just the intake. He's like, yah, I have a buddy with a Maxima and that thing is quick too. Looks like the gospel of the Maxima is spreading

Anyways, after that run, EVERYONE wanted to run. The next car was an old civic hatchback. Off the line, neck and neck. By the 3500rpm range, I started walking on him, and again, by the 1-2, it was pretty much over, but to finish off the 1/4, I kept going, and didn't let off. By the end of 3rd, I was thoroughly whipping him. It seemed that the faster we went, the greater the acceleration difference between us. This guy had quite a bit of work done to his car, so everyone was shocked that I beat him, and by as much as I did. So I got a chance to run with this hyped out Prelude, that EVERYONE thought was gonna smoke me. I thought he was gonna smoke me. Yellow, slammed, whtie rims, big strut mounted spoiler, stickers galore, and before the race, I had no idea what he had under his hood. All that I knew was, approaching, he wasn't all that loud, but as he flew past, he was really loud.

We lined up, off the line, I got the most PERFECT launch I have ever had in my life. I had just the slightest wheel spin all the way from about 2000rpm all the way till 6000rpm, and the entire time I was walking on him very slowly. At the 1-2, he was neck and neck with me, but I kept walking very slowly. By the end of the 1/4, his front bumper was at my rear quarter. We were gonna run again, but a security guard came by and said he was gonna call the cops, so people starting filing out of there.

Man do I love my baby, and her beautiful VQ heart.

Sounds like one of the ugliest preludes I've ever heard of. Glad you beat him.

True, true. There is nothing more that I hate than Preludes...everyone I know who drives a Prelude in my area is either an *** or an idiot. Nice kills

Good stuff. I find it funny when people rice out their cars. The prelude u just described was totally riced out; wing, custom paint job, stickers and probably cut coils Putting a spoiler on your car is just like taking off your DX badge on your civic thinking it will go faster. When you have the engine mods to back it up, then you can make your car "look" fast, but usually ppl with body kits go as fast a geo metros anyways. I want to know also, are you auto or 5spd?

Standard my brother. If I were an auto, I'd probably be losing many of the races I'm winning.

If it is a car just for you, why wouldn't she? I can understand if you have to share the car with others, and they don't want to or don't know how to drive a stick shift car. But if it's all yours, you should've tried harder to get a stick shift

good kills!!!!

Ok, here in miami all the hatches have gsr motors or prelude motors stuffed in them so its hard to take em down, but I walk on most of them,I hate preludes because people think they are faster than maximas down here in miami my max has represented to the fullest taking lost of domestics"mustangs, vettes, camaros etc."so they know whats up with that four door family car.lol..people always say damn that maxima sounds nice ,because when we zoom by them in a race they here a my max hissing from the nitrous and growling from the intake, then the following stang barking passes by.Hey dont get me wrong stangs hall man. My bro has an 11.75 second stang, but I like to teach his freinds lessons .Good kills by the way.... keep on representing the vq power!
