Kinda a weird question about 4th gen grilles...
I dont think all the 4th gen grilles are the same (not sure what yrs are different), but do they all mount up the same? Like is the actual grille frame/mounting stuff the same on all 4th gens?

nope, 95-96 are diff. than the 97-99
they can be modified so that 97-99 grills can fit onto 95-96.
check out Iilacs car because we put my old 97 grill on his 96 and came out a perfect fit except it leaves a half inch gap on the bottom

So rather than just being cosmetically different the grilles actually connect to the car differently?
For instance, the 3rd gen grilles between 89-91 are different than 92-94. However, the overall grille opening shape is still the same, and all the years actually mount to the car the exact same, making them all interchangeable. I take it this isnt the case with 4th gens?

the mounting points are the exact same locations for all 4th gens. The only cosmedic difference I see is that the 97-99 grills are slightly longer where the 2 crome posts are on the sides(we had to shave off about .25" of it to fit) and also the 95-96 have more grill on the bottom thats why the 97-99 grill leaves a half inch gap on the bottom.
