Thank you for the link.

According to that thread, it should be 35 ft-lb for all non-stillen bars, which doesnt make sense to me. I would think that the required torque should be dependent on the design of the bar and the connection. Especially in this case where it is a slip-critical connection. I was wondering if taz had any recommendations for this specific bar.

Thanks.

Yea its called a Torque wrench. You can adjust it right on the wrench to the ft-lb of your choice.

My install went through fine, though fitment is kind of tight, but I managed to have it done without having to jack up the center beam of my car, 02 Maxima.

However, after the installation, the bar seems to be very high up, and my hood can close but is bent a little bit about the bar. I'm wondering if this is normal at all. Anyone can input on this? Thanks in advance.

I think Zippin has a 3.0 by looking at his Cardomain homepage.

I was going to PM him about fitment myself. Maybe he can reply here?

My question would be does the hood touch the bar?
Do you have the Fire Material still installed under the hood?

When I installed my el cheapo one (doesnt fit worth a crap) I put flour on the bar and checked the material after closing. It was just sitting on the latch and it was touching.

Mine is kinda like that, too. The hood really touch the bar and got bent by it a little bit. I"m pretty pi$$ed off about it right now. About to take it off the car in a few days and see what I can do to make it clear. I thought I can trust racingline on this, but I guess not.

If you can provide picture I will attempt to address the issue. It's possible that you just happened to get "a bad one" I've sold a ton of these and this is the first complaint I have heard, I've even installed it my self on both motors and all were fine.

fitment problem

I finally got around to installing my bar and ran in to a little problem. When installing the end brackets (around the 3 strut bolts), there is a little edge on the side where the bar connects to the bracket that protrudes into the large circular opening in the bracket. This little edge interferes and sits on the lip along the strut mount opening. This prevents the bracket from going down and sitting flush. Did anyone else run into this problem?

If you have no idea what I am talking about, please let me know and I will try to post pics.

Thanks.

Installed it on my 03. Fit fine did not have to jack-up the center. It did pinch the spray nozzle pipe on the drivers side.

Is this sale still going on?

I visited your site just now and all the FSTB are backordered, when will you be getting the shipment for new ones? I'm highly interested.

Edit: I just placed an order for a polished one.
