2k3 6-speed

Great product and customer service.

I had a question about step 2 of my install and was contacted within 20 minutes of leaving a PM!

I installed everything, except the starter housing connection because the starter on the manual 5.5 gen are located differently. Even without this last piece installed, I can tell you there is a difference. I also sanded down the paint to help the connections.

The car now idles slightly below 1K. This is an increase from before, but it helps smooth out the rough idle. Acceleration is smoother and the shifts are "cleaner" and more effortless (yes, even for a manual). I couldn't tell if the radio was louder, or windows rolled quicker, but the HIDs seem to have gotten brighter.

This kit is well worth the price. Get it!

i GOT mine!!!!!!!

sorry im excited

i'm not putting these bad boys on yet coz one of them requires removing the airbox, so when i get the intake i'll put them on.

The good:
1. I heard good things about them, Scottwax's thread can confirm (auto only)
2. The kit comes with everything, except you have to read the instructions.. duh! ...lol
3. The detail on the kit is awesome, A+ for instructions and hardware for installation.

The Bad:

1. Stupid duty fees, $20.39, which jacked the total up to $63.76 with the kit's price, oh well what can i do, im in Canada, so let's face it. :P

other than that, i have nothing else, but just to let you people know that you should get a kit while it's still available...

ok that's enough, those are my thoughts.

Good luck to the seller and thanks for the business.
And good luck to the past, present and future buyers too.

Ahmen

Just installed my grounding kit yesterday. For some reason you gave me 6 wires instead of 5?? The install was pretty easy, considering I didn't have to take out my stock airbox. But anyways, I am very happy with the results. My AT is definitely shifting a lot quicker than before, which was the main result I was hoping for. Car seems to be running smoother also. Definitely recommend Shinjiduo's grounding kit to anyone! (Left buyer feedback also.)

Interested in a kit. I would like a carbon grey Stinger 4AWG kit for a 5.5 gen. Is that the $47 shipped price?

I have a question about the starter to chassis connection. I have 2002 automatic. When I took that long bolt out of the starter to ground it, is there a certain torque that it's supposed to be? I'm afraid I may have overtightened it. Also, what is the point of that bolt?

I also dropped the small 10mm bolt for the timing chain cover to chassis ground into the pulley/belt area and couldn't find it after searching for a good hour . Now my belt/pulley area is making a rubbing noise and a clicking noise at low speeds...think I'm going to take it to the shop tomorrow...hopefully they'll be able to find it.

I do not think the starter bolt has a specific torque tolerance I just made sure it was more than finger loosen tight. As for their function I am sure that keep the cover on the starter motor. Sorry about the missing bolt. I keep a magnetic wand on had for issues like that. I am sure I have lost two weeks or more of my life just simply looking for things I have dropped in the engine bay. I am sure that to this day that there are various washers and maybe a few bolts in there somewhere. But since they have no ill effect I won't deal with them until I am ready to pull the engine. Hope no damage was done and I hope I was able to answer your question satisfactorially.

Another satisfied customer. I got mine and installed about 3 weeks ago. I was pretty skeptical about noticing any difference. The instant I started the car once all was in place I noticed a much smoother idle. The shifts seem to be smoother as well. when disengaging cruise the car used to to al ittle lurch-like thing, that hasn't happened since the install. I am not very mechanically inclined, but with the included instruction I was able to do the whole install in about an hour and a half - oh yeah, an hour of that was walking to the hardwares tore and back to get an extra bolt for the alternator-to chassis wire.

Sorry about that. All the different gens all have different hardware requirements so I sometimes mess up and give too many or not enough bolts.

Just got my kit in blue and it looks great!!! The craftsmanship on the wire is excellent and the directions are very straight forward. I will update with performance results as soon as I get them on.

Maybe some fine metal sand paper of emory cloth, if you want to clean the metal up at the contact points. But that should be it...
