Help!!
Right after I beat cancer and was supposed to be celebrating, my '00 GXE's transmission died. So now we're down to one car, and though I LOVE driving the '00 GLE, it's SUPPOSED to be garaged most of this winter while the GXE does most of the seasonal traveling.
I found an '00 Mx 4AT for $250 pulled down in a junkyard in Corning NY, but while I was driving down to get it, someone else came and got it.

Can anyone help me? I need ANY tansmission that will work... heck I'll switch bellhousings, VB's and TCM's if I have to in order to get it to work in my 00 GXE.

...
...and rebuild kits appear to be the same....
I'm gonna delve into my Haynes book for a while, and then I'll consult the FSM's.
Maybe with just a couple mods I might be able to put the '02 4at in my '00... (maybe?)
What could I be forgetting as far as compatibility between the two?
