WTB: Stock flywheel for 6spd

I'm having a new clutch put in soon, and I'm looking to round one of these up in case mine is shot. With so many of you upgrading to the Fidanza, seems like someone would have one of these lying around.

There are stockers to be had, but most if not all of them have some hot-spotting on the friction surface. If they're not machined smooth, there's a big possibility that there could be some chattering with a new clutch. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has managed to get a stocker (dual-mass) resurfaced. I'm going through the same thing right now. Cheap stocker with known hot-spotting or more expensive aftermarket flywheel.

What causes this hot spotting? I've suspected my clutch was wearing down since summer, with some slipping mainly under extreme acceleration. Now, if I am driving in 5th or 6th at around 2000 rpm, and get in the gas a little hard, it pretty much lets go. The car is still totally driveable though, especially in the lower gears. Luckily the Maxima is not my only means of transportation, and I am not going to drive it any more until I take it to get the clutch replaced.

I'm wondering if the hotspotting occurs when the worn clutch is pushed to the limit, to almost being undriveable. Hopefully my flywheel will be OK.

I've also heard that emery cloth can be used on a dual mass flywheel. I wonder if that could take out these "hot spots".

Don't be cheap and just get a new flywheel. OEM clutch cost roughly a little less than a performance clutch. There are absolutely no ways of removing heat spots.

Honestly you should just go with an aftermarket flywheel. New OE costs >$400, you'll pay around that price for a lightweight unit.
