FS: CHERRY, 25K-MILE 5th GEN ENGINE
SOLD: CHERRY, 25K-MILE 5th GEN ENGINE
SOLD-
I bought this engine back around 5-6 years ago intending to "eventually" use it as a replacement for the engine in my 96 Maxima when I returned to Colorado and was going to also install onto it a Stillen supercharger that I had acquired. Well, as they say, "The best laid plans of mice and men,.........etc." and now that I've sold the supercharger and the car's been sold as well, this very clean, lo-mile engine is available for sale. I bought it from a local salvage operation back around 2003/2004 after confirming the VIN and ESN match and mileage thru CarFax and Nissan North America's database. And I used the 00VI off of it on my 96! I still have the documentation on the engine if producing it is critical to any purchaser, but suffice it to say that I confirmed that this is a genuine 25K-mile engine, which I pickled after buying it and have kept it stored inside of a dry barn. These pictures were taken before the supercharger and Matty's V1 plate were removed.

The price for the engine is $400 with local pickup (I'm located in Western North Carolina, about a 3-hour drive south from Knoxville, a 3-hour drive up from Atlanta, and about a 2-hour drive from Charlotte). However, I did go to the trouble of getting a shipping quote for one potential buyer of $250 for terminal-to-terminal shipping from North Carolina to New Mexico. Please PM me if you have questions.

Damn, all my deals are good. First the JWT ECU and the new Stillen supercharger and the new Fidanza flywheel and new Spec Stage 2 clutch, the then car got sold (at $750 over KBB (and worth every cent of it)), and now FS threads (besides this engine) for Harlan RPM switches, a 2001 muffler, a new full OEM front bra, a re-manufactured 97-99 steering rack, a perfect 00VI VIAS, and I'll also be posting up a brand new set of OEM floor mats (in beige). I was planning on keeping the 96 Maxima SE that I bought new for 20 years, took care of it like I would, and stockpiled many of these things I've listed to help keep the car in fantastic condition "till the ends of time."
But plans have a way of changing, so I'm posting and selling these thing for what I consider a little below what most would consider just "a fair price." I don't plan to get rich by waiting forever to get top dollar (which they're worth), nor to I plan to let someone steal them. Priced to move (for anyone who wants/needs them).
