Intake question (I know...I know)

I am bored and broke. I found an old intake that I had lying aorund and I am sure that with a few couplers, hose clamps and a hacksaw, I could make work. I am just not sure what to do about the hose comes off to the engine and connects to the mid-pipe on the 3.5's (sorry I forgot the name for it). My brother has the equipment and talent to weld aluminum but this is pretty thin stuff and would be a major PITA. Any suggestions?

I know its beat up but I plan to sand and paint it black after I am done hacking it up Btw, it's 3" in diameter.

this is posted in the wrong section buddy... the item isnt for sale... is it??? hopefully a moderator will moves this, anyways to help you, just cut a peice of the midpipe (straight) poke a hole in it the size of the one on the front valve cover area... weld a peice of metal on it... connect the hose from the front part of the valve cover (or whatever that area is called) to the intake and attach your filter and voila... intake... pipe thickness means nothing

Aw crap, I don't know why I posted this in the classifieds! Lol. Damn. Anyway, I'll try to figure how to change it or hopefully the moderator will.

Grandhustle- only reason I brought up the thickness was bc I know it's easy to burn a hole through thin metal especially aluminum. Thanks for everything tho.

That's a good point. Damn, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks.

Do those small filter have a technical name?

BTW, anyone know how I can put this in the proper category?
