FS: 5th Generation Maxima Transponder Key Blanks
All 5 have sold. Thanks for the interest everyone.
Hey guys. I have five brand new uncut/un-programmed fifth generation ('00, '01, '02, '03) Nissan Maxima transponder key blanks for sale.
To keep a long story short, I bought these from <unnamed vendor> for my 1999 4th gen. I was told they would work for my '99 but they did not. It turns out these are for 5th gen's only (verified by local locksmith). The vendor would not refund my money nor take the keys back. I am selling them for less than I paid.
I love the style/look of these keys. I really like the little chrome Nissan "hamburger" logo. It was hard to find these keys. I think they are very unique. Please note it has a genuine Nissan logo on one side and the other side is blank. There are no cheap aftermarket numbers/words/logos. For example, here is a similar style key on e-bay with no hamburger and with generic aftermarket text on the face, for more money than I am asking.
Please note these keys are uncut and un-programmed. You'll need to get them cut which should only be a few dollars but you'll also need to get the transponder programmed, which can vary greatly in price. Believe it or not, I found a local locksmith to program my '99 key for free, but figure on +/- $50, more realistically, if you are not as lucky as I was. You might consider calling local locksmiths for a quote before ordering one of these keys.
I am asking $10 shipped, each key. Again, I have five of these. The first five orders get them. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks!

( Im under high influence of medication right now som Im not in the best state of clarity I apologize)
Let me just get this straight , because I only have one key right now but I planned on getting another one but I heard you have to get a programmable key , then have it programed for my car?? ( 2002 se ).
are these what you have ?
If so I'll be more than willing to take one. What is your preferred method of payment etc. I'll check this when I wake up

So far I have received posts here as well as PMs stating that people want a key or two. But, as of now, I have not received any payments. If you definitely want one (or more), please reserve it/them by paying. PayPal address is above, end of post #5. Please also include your .org screen name in the PayPal notes. Thank you.
terror, yes, you are correct. You need a programmable transponder key. The key has a 'security chip' inside which your ignition reads. That's what these keys are. PayPal address is above, post #5.
Kamzilla, I would assume so too. Are you sure you want a Nissan logo though?
djk, it is my understanding that they work for all 5th generations.
Like I said, so far no one has paid. I'll keep you guys updated with the number of keys remaining as time goes on.
Thanks for your interest everyone.
