Stage II VB

This will fit a 5.5 gen (2002-2003) 4AT.

It is a Stage II modified by maximum tuning.

I bought it to replace my slipping OEM unit, and it fixed my slipping problem.

Shifts are very crisp and you will lose traction from 1-2 if you are on it.

I’ll sell it for $250, buyer pays shipping. It's a small unit, probably not more than 15-20$ to ship would be my guess.

To bad Maximum Tuning stop making those. They were nice. I'd buy that myself if I didn't already have one!

There was a TSB out that stated to replace the VB if there is a 1-2 slip. Mine started to develop this a few months after I got it, and it got progressively worse. Did my research, and found that it was more than likely the VB. So, instead of going to the factory for a replacement, I wen w/ maximum tuning, and it worked.

Hm. So this would be an upgrade whether the 1-2 slip is there or not? Would it be unecessary to run this + transgo? Sorry if these are stupid questions but I am tranny stupid.

Yeah, this is a stage II, so it's fairly agressive and crisp and it will 'improve' (firm/crisp) your stock unit.

The way Max tuning used to state it as thius:
Stage I = stock replacement
Stage II = a little aggressive, strong crisp feeling
Stage II.5 = Still streetable and more aggressive,
Stage III = Race only, very aggressive/harsh for DD'ing.

Ahh..
The trans go kit allows you to keep your existing VB.
This modification is a replacement of the entire VB unit.

That's why this is more expensive than the TG, since it's the entire unit. TG, for a little more work, allows you to go in and modify the VB on your own (although I wont get into it, but they, TG and MT, modify differently I believe).

I think originally it was like $600 and then you get 200$ back when you send in your core, so a grand total of 400$ for this.

Of course this was before we had other more reasonable options. That's what happens when you mod 'newer' cars

I have an extra one I'm 'playing' with. Probably use this $$ for a SSV4 to go along with the 'played wit' VB.

Man, I wish I had the money now. With how my tranny has been behaving, I could really use this. Perhaps if it's still available in the next month I'll be able to float it.
