This custom catback was great with no headers. Sounded amazing when I had just a y-pipe. I decided to pony up and get headers. So I had to change my exhaust system to quite it down a bit.

No mufflers! Saves a bit of weight . With the resonator in there it's not annoyingly loud.

If you're going for sound and performance and sticking with stock precats then this is for you. Even if you get a ypipe this thing sounds awesome! This tip fits perfectly in our stock cut out, picked by myself for that reason.

It's less than 2.5 years old (under 15k on it) as this car is not my DD.

I dont mean to sound like a jerk or low ball you but

I got a similar set up but with a stainless steel catback (I painted it black anyways) all for less than $150 shipped.

Bends look pretty good though. If you were parting it out I would make an offer on the midpipe.

 

the tip itself was 100 bucks...i bet the tip you got was low grade chinese stuff...or what is custom made for your car?

 

Its pretty nice actually. I dont have a picture on hand but the inlet is 2-1/2 round and the tip outlet is 2-3/4 oval. I liked it because it looks stock but instead of two small round tips tucked inside the muffler its actually just one big oval. I havent seen another one like it anywhere since I bought it, it was from some custom u.s. shop that I believe has become defunct unfortunately..

It sounds great though I want a Y-Pipe to go with it..

 

Is this direct bolt on? It looks like its cut?



Btw I'm a 2000 auto and have a ypipe and getting a test pipe so I;m assuming this would be extremely loud?

nope its not cut, and yeah direct bolt up...if you look on the picture below youll see the clamp thing on the hanger

thats to clamp both pieces together so you can remove it easily..

its loud with a ypipe and hallow cat, but its not annoyingly loud...it is when you get headers though!

i ran it like this for over a year...never any issues....in fact i have 2 friends that have altimas that have their mufflers neutered as well

The muffler doesn't really do a whole lot anyways except add weight.. New price is a pretty good deal people!
