FS: Custom Intake Manifold with 2009 Throttle Body Flange

I am selling my custom manifold to raise funds for another project. This is "version 2" of my manifold. The previous design had the inlet coming in from the side and my car made 260whp with that setup. I re-designed it to have the inlet come in from the rear for better flow. I haven't dynoed the car on the second version of the manifold but the MAF voltage is slightly higher in the upper RPM's indicating better flow.

The manifold is made from 1/8" aluminum, all tig welded by a friend. The piping is 3.5" all the way. The throttle body flange is for a 2009 throttle body. This throttle body will work on the 02-08 as well, you'll just need the harness. The 09 throttle body is better because it is 75mm as opposed to 70. Throttle body NOT INCLUDED.

This fits on my 2002 perfectly and clears everything. I had to re-route some vacuum lines (obviously) because of where I made the vacuum ports. As far as throttle body placement, it works in my car, but PLEASE COMPARE PICTURES TO MAKE SURE IT WILL CLEAR EVERYTHING IN YOUR CAR. I had to move my battery to the trunk for the filter to fit. You could probably get away with a silicone bend right before the battery though.

Asking $470 SHIPPED or a stock manifold/elbow plus cash. Hit me with offers! And ASK QUESTIONS before you just make assumptions!

Thanks,
Jake

What kinda gains go along with this? any before and after dyno's? Why didn't you make the elbow any shorter so the battery could fit there?

The gains depends on your current setup. If you have bolt ons and a completely stock manifold, you can probably pick up at least 25whp at 6100rpm. If you already have an SSIM then you will probably gain anywhere between 5-15whp.

This manifold is actually version 2. I had done another custom manifold before with the inlet on the side and I made 257whp on a dynocom dyno and 259whp on a dynojet. This manifold is an improvement over that one (inlet is now in the rear). I observed higher MAF voltages meaning more flow.

Even on the first custom manifold, the most important improvement was the fact that the power did not die off at all after 6000 like it does with a stock one.

And my battery has been in my trunk since back when i was boosted so I didn't really think about it. Another easy solution would be to cut and remove 4 inches of the straight pipe and piece it back together with a coupler.

No it shouldnt effect anything. Just try to keep the length of the entire pipe to 31". That is the length required to create a resonance at 6000rpm for peak power.

And IACV? This is for a 2002-2008 which don't have iacv's.

Do you have a pic of where it goes through where the battery should be?
