do I need a pre amp to power my 2001 maxima factory Bose speakers?

I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima with a Bose sound system... I installed an aftermart radio & the sound is not coming out the speakers but the radio is fully compatible... someone told me that my pre amp might be blown and I'm wondering if I replace the 2001 maxima Bose amp with a replica would my sound work.. another thing, when I look at the back of the amp all the wiring isn't wired right or plugged in.. can I just buy another preamplifier & have it installed properly and my sound work?
