2001 Maxima Engine/Motor Mounts

Hello everyone,
My 2001 Nissan Maxima motor mounts on the front at the grill, and on the right side need to be replaced. My mechanic told me it is better to replace it with an OEM part, as opposed to an aftermarket which would cause vibrations throughout the vehicle. Does anyone know where I can purchase OEM motor mount parts?

For the front mount I would go with the manual version even if your car is an auto. The power motor mounts of the auto can cause other problems and they're not worth the extra cost.

No need whatsoever to use OEM mount for the passenger side. Just buy a reputable part from rockauto.com (I bought the Anchor part, and it works just fine, no side-effects or any other issues).

Re. the front mount. Here, it's a bit more complicated, but Derrick's advice is still sound. For a full explanation of the issues at hand, and the trade-offs you face when replacing this part, read this note: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6O...psNVBqUVk/view .

So, for the front mount, I have to buy an OEM manual version.
For the right mount, buy an aftermarket, for the auto transmission though right?

I wouldn't replace the lower rad support with OEM! It will probably rust out like the original.
I did use ultimately use the Nissan core support as a direct replacement because the aftermarket didnt line up right and the hood striker didnt line up with the hood latch!

The what? What is lower rad support?

I am still confused.

Front Mount = OEM only, manual version.
Right Mount = Aftermarket, automatic version.

Is this correct?

He has a big hard on about the lower rad support rusting out. And now I guess he's mad about paying someone to replace the whole thing when he should just be welding on thick plates of steel and/or angle iron for 50 bucks.

Haha, aside from being completely unrelated to the thread this is pretty terrible advice. Most aftermarket rad supports are a much thinner material and will fail way sooner
