2k2 headlight install question

How long did it take most of you to install your 2k2 headlights? Did you guys use the instructions from the "how/to" section of .org? How many people installed themselves, versus getting them installed by a shop? If you got them installed by a shop, where did you go, and how much did it cost? Thanks guys

hmmm

well.. the first one took almost 2 hours. the second took 20 mins. One is not really harder than the other, once you've done one, you can just knock out the other in no time flat.

Honestly, the first one took closer to 45 mins of actually working on the light. The rest of was checking the wiring, double checking... checking the connections, looming and sealing everything as best I could.

There also a few times you stand back.... like after the first light is out and there's just a hole there with the wires cut... and you just think "WTF am I doing??" not because its hard, just takes some patience. The skill level is like a 3 on a 10 scale. Very DIY, but you just have to take your time to do it right (so you wont get moisture, shorts or loose wires).

I just finished installing my lights and it took me more time trying to figure out the diagrams. here is what i did, i used Bigdogjonx's write up, and on the headlights i marked each wire to where it needs to be hooked up to. that made it rather an easy job, but the first one did take an hour to do and the second only took 25 minutes. if your not a DIY'er, please read over the write up until you can see what wires are what. GOOD LUCK!...and they are soooooooooooo worth it!

Yea mine took over 10hrs since I wasting crazy time on the wiring. I had to figure it all out unlike you guys who can just leech off me. hahhaa.

Plus I aint know i had to replace that clip also, me and my impatient self hammered some metal thinking that was what was in the way. Ended up orgers bashed me out and then DaveB called me up "You know I think you did not have to bang the metal, I just found out the clip is different" "Thanks Dave".
